WHO WE ARE
Klamath and Lake Counties Council on Aging is a private charitable non-profit, responsible for providing services to meet the needs of seniors and adults with disabilities in the Southern Oregon and are the local designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA). Our commitment to promote dignity, well-being, security and independence for Klamath and Lake Counties’ seniors and adults with disabilities is evident in the many services we offer. We encourage a maximum of self-help and independence through services and programs that encompass nutrition, health and wellness, transportation, in-home services, advocacy, and legal assistance.
SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM
These programs offer nutritious meals in both a group setting at the Senior Centers, and to homebound seniors through the Meals on Wheels program. The Senior Center mealsite programs (congregate meals) vary in hours and days of operation, depending on the Center in each community. Volunteers are needed in many areas at the congregate mealsites. Volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers deliver mid-day meals to over 200 seniors per day in the service area and are the “eyes and ears” for our staff to check on the wellness and safety our homebound seniors. To volunteer to be a driver, please contact the Klamath Basin Senior Center in Klamath Falls at 541-883-7171 or call the Lakeview Senior Center at 541-947-6035. For more information you can contact Kim Estes at email@example.com or (541) 205-5400.
